General Overview:

We are seeking an exceptional Annual Giving Manager to create, implement and evaluate a comprehensive, multi-year plan to increase the financial support from donors to JSSA.  The Annual Giving Manager will provide strategic direction, long and short-term planning as well as day-to-day management of the annual giving program. S/he will support the greater development goals of JSSA and have a keen understanding of annual giving as the enabling component of a successful comprehensive fundraising program.  The Annual Giving Manager will successfully manage all donations up to $1,000.    S/he will oversee all annual giving programs including direct mail, on-line giving, e-mail campaigns and fundraising-related events.  Additional responsibilities include supervision and management of annual giving budget, and identifying, designing, and implementing strategies to grow new and current annual giving programs.  Reporting to the Chief Development & External Affairs Officer, the Annual Giving Manager will align annual giving programs with JSSA’s vision and goals while working closely with the Director of Major Gifts and Planned Giving.  The high-performing and cohesive Development & Marketing team is comprised of 8 professionals contributing to our annual revenue of almost $28M annually. 

Position Qualifications:

The ideal candidate has over 3 years of professional, annual fund-raising experience, partnership-building skills and a commitment to annual fundraising.   Qualified candidates will possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral and a thorough understanding and comfort working in a complex and fast-paced fundraising environment.  S/he will have excellent organizational and follow-through skills; the ability to manage multiple projects and see projects through to a timely completion; and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.  The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and implementing strategies for achieving operating goals and experience in budget planning and oversight.  Bachelor’s degree required.
