The George Mason University Office of Housing and Residence Life (OHRL) welcomes qualified candidates to apply for the position of Living Learning Community Program Coordinator. Responsibilities: The Living Learning Community Program Coordinator assists with the implementation and assessment of all Living Learning Communities (LLCs) and serves as a liaison for the faculty and staff who work with the individual learning communities. This position is responsible for collaborating with academic partners to identify the needs of each LLC at Mason and to provide strategic guidance and support for LLC stakeholders in the execution and assessment of the LLC programs. In addition, the incumbent develops and implements a marketing strategy and executes marketing, recruitment, and assignments for the LLCs.

Duties: * Assist with the development and implementation of all LLCs within Housing and Residence Life; * Collaborate with LLC partners and stakeholders; including students, faculty, staff, deans and directors; * Meet monthly with LLC Coordinators and Residence Life staff; * Develop and execute a programming plan and provide guidance and support to LLC stakeholders to implement and assess plan to meet LLC learning outcomes; * Manage budget related to LLC programming, marketing, and student staff; * Direct the LLC Peer Mentor program, including recruitment, selection, training, and supervision; and collaborate with LLC stakeholders on Peer Mentor program development; * Supervise Graduate Assistant for LLCs and LLC Peer Mentors; * Oversee and manage recruitment for LLCs and collaborate with LLC stakeholders on assignments and placement of LLCs; * Manage LLC marketing and communication and move forward with branding to increase LLC name recognition to prospective students, families and key university stakeholders; * Work in collaboration with the Office of Admissions, OHRL, and other university offices to recruit and admit new LLC students, including coordination of and attendance at Preview Days and Mason Orientation Events; * Develop and implement social media marketing plan in coordination with graduate and student staff; * Oversee use of early intervention tools and retention efforts for LLCs with a focus on retention and timely degree completion; * Provide exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a new, challenging and emerging direction within the university, and the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in constantly changing situations as necessary; * Possess the ability to work independently and as a member of a group in addressing strategic priorities, particularly relevant to developing and executing goals and objectives; * Work a flexible work schedule due to evening and weekend programs and events; and * Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: * A masters degree in a related field (e.g., higher education, student development, counseling, etc.); or equivalent combination of training and experience; * Progressive experience, including a variety of responsibilities, in residence life, student affairs, and housing operations (at least two years is preferred); * Experience implementing successful social media and marketing campaigns in conjunction with programming and office identity web presence; * Demonstrated experience as a supervisor of student or professional staff; * Ability to work with a diverse student and staff population; * Must demonstrate a knowledge base and ability to address first-year student transitions and success; * Ability to demonstrate excellent skills in oral and written communications, interpersonal relationships, administrative/organizational skills, problem-solving, creativity and critical thinking; * Foundational knowledge of student development and have understanding of current trends in residence life and student housing; * Possess a working knowledge of retention software and industry assessment surveys; and * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and demonstrate the ability to be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of a diverse and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications: * Prior experience in higher education at a four-year institution; and * Prior experience with LLCs that contribute to student engagement and retention.
