As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will be an integral team member supporting our customer's Army Ground Combat Software Engineering Center (SEC) organization to develop a Modular Active Protection System (MAPS), a fully autonomous military ground vehicle application which counter-fires on incoming projectiles.

This position is in support of Army Ground Combat and Tactical Vehicle Systems and includes the participation in advanced technology initiatives, performing the requirements analysis and refinement, design, development, & execution to sustain world class military protection system solutions.

Essential Job Functions:

Provide leadership and direction in the engineering development, implementation, test and installation for the integration of modular Active Protective System Software solutions onto combat and tactical vehicle systems.

Provide expertise in developing a software architecture that addresses Army Ground Vehicle survivability, vulnerability and lethality requirements and challenges.

Implement a software development and documentation process in conjunction with Software Safety and Cyber-Security considerations.

Develop and/or provide inputs to plans of execution to include scope, budget, resource needs, material needs, and schedule.

Requirements

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secrect clearance.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering plus eight (8) years of experience. There are multiple levels associated with this job category. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of experience will be considered for alternate classification.

Experience in embedded software development and software systems integration on DoD systems.

Experience in UML and/or SysML Architecture Development.

Ability to communicate comfortably and effectively with various levels of technical and management personnel.

Experience with Middleware, Hypervisors and Operating Systems.

Ability to lead and motivate team of engineers and technicians.

Travel to various customer and contractor facilities and test centers (10% Travel).

Desired Skills:

Experience with data transfer protocols and network protocols.

Experience with developing a reusable object oriented framework with C/C++.

Experience with ethernet communication with TCP and UDP. Familiarity with CMMI.
