Candidates will be responsible to review and evaluate software products and systems for adherence to company, contract, and customer quality standards within a dynamic lab environment spanning multiple security enclaves in support of engineering and development efforts.

Specifically, responsibilities and requirements include the following the candidate will:

1. Coordinate testing activities and adherence to Configuration Management Practices. This includes the formal delivery via electronic and media formats.

2. Documents and analyzes test results, and makes recommendations to improve overall quality of solution being delivered.

3. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

4. Maintain approved/delivered solutions in the deployment methodologies (SCCM, YUM Repository)

5. Exercised considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment and without appreciable direction.

6. Ability to work independently and in a team environment in order to successfully resolve moderately complex technical problems in a high-paced environment

 

GDIT duties may also include:

1. Designs and develops tests and test requirements for products, systems, software and/or related components and equipment.

 2. Troubleshoots problems and documents findings of tests.

 3. Defines testing processes and ensures tests adhere to established standards.

 4. May participate in quality assurance plan development.

 5. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced test engineers and may have supervisory responsibilities.

 6. May serve as technical team or task lead.

 7. Makes changes to methods, design or equipment where necessary.

 8. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

 9. Participates in special projects as required.

Education 1. Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

 2. Masters Degree preferred.

Qualifications 8-10 years of related experience in testing, engineering or quality assurance.

 The candidate should have 8-10 years of related experience in configuration management, software deployment for Microsoft and RedHat based networks, quality assurance and/or as a system administrator with a key eye for detail. The ideal candidate would also be well versed in the foundations that make up a Mission IT network.
