Are you looking for a new and exciting role that allows you to utilize your training & instruction experience? Are you passionate about teaching others & helping develop new training material? If so, General Dynamics Information Technology is looking for a training specialist to join our Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (CFPB) in sunny Jacksonville, Florida. The Trainer will participate in developing, organizing, and conducting training & educational programs for customer personnel. The Trainer/Instructor will also be responsible for developing training programs and shall maintain the content of the contact center while also keeping track of records of training & employee participation in training programs.

  • Develops, tests, maintains, and delivers training programs and related materials in support of customer training objectives
  • Establishes course content and objectives
  • Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities
  • Maintains records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness
  • Updates course documentation on a regular basis to ensure timeliness and relevance
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
  • Participates in special projects as required
  • Supports Learning Management & Knowledge Base Systems
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work/military experience
  • 3+ years of directly related experience in the development and delivery of technical training programs
Qualifications
  • Experience & understanding of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the development and delivery of training programs is preferred
  • Knowledge of relevant technologies as required by the program
  • Demonstrated effective presentation and communication skills
  • Experience & understanding in applying the principles, methods, and techniques used in developing & delivering training programs
