As a Junior Systems Administrator/Desktop Support, you will:

  • Provide hands-on technical support to over 200 users
  • Install, test, & repair desktop PCs, laptops & mobile devices
  • Support connectivity of devices and other routine network administration duties
  • Assist with the maintenance of a Windows Server environment & associated Windows desktop infrastructure
  • Work with the systems team to solve complex & challenging technical issues
  • Perform other user & network support related duties as assigned

To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • BA/BS in Computer Technology or related field from a U.S. DOE accredited institution with a 2.9+ GPA or AA/AS w/equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows desktop & Windows Server operating systems
  • Familiarity with Linux
  • Familiarity with Microsoft System Center a plus
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL a plus
  • Basic understanding of programming logic; PowerShell a plus
  • Ability to handle minor internal PC repairs
  • Demonstrated strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to relay technical information to users in layman terms
  • Demonstrated strong analytic & problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Excellent attention to detail & organization skills
  • Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines, & work within a team
  • Strong presentation skills preferred
  • Ability to obtain & maintain a Level 5 Public Trust security clearance
