We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Instructional Designer with Project Lead experience to join this team.

    Takes direction from Project and Program Managers as required

  1. Tracks and communicates project status
  2.              Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate issues and risks
  3.              Tracks project against schedule, scope, and budget
  4.              Ensures that the project deliverables conform to requirements
  5.              Designs curriculum materials in accordance with established design models and templates for Instructor-led training (ILT); Interactive Multi-media Instruction (IMI); and related materials
  6. Consults with other team experts and/or clients on job performance improvement strategies; learning strategy; blended curriculum design; and business issues related to learning needs and learning solution initiatives
  7. Conducts analyses of target audience; training requirements; and media requirements in accordance with SOPs
  8. Designs and develops instructional approaches and/or strategies to meet training requirements as appropriate
  9. Designs training materials and evaluations in accordance with SOPs
  10. Develops non-technology-based training materials in accordance with SOPs
  11. Develops appropriate training objectives and test methods and designs instructionally valid training materials
  12. Maintains high levels of self-motivation; demonstrating reliability in a consistent level of job performance; and working within established project budgets and schedules
  13. Exhibits versatile interpersonal and communication skills that enable successful internal and external interaction in a variety of modes including face-to-face meetings; phone calls; phone conferences; virtual meetings; and written communication
  14. Develops appropriate training objectives and test methods and designs instructionally valid training materials
  15. Participates in special projects as required
Education Masters Degree in Education or a related discipline.

Qualifications 8-10 years of related instructional development experience.

 

This is a remote position - home office with high speed internet access required

 

  1. In depth knowledge of the principles; methods; and techniques used in the development of training including educational psychology; Adult Learning Theory Human Performance Improvement; in addition to Instructional Technology
  2. Recent experience designing instruction at the detail level including development of technology-based training; paper-based training materials; and related documentation
  3. Excellent communication skills in speaking and writing including practices of first time quality such as self-editing and double-checking of own work
  4. Works with little guidance (independently) and with diverse teams
  5. Learns new tools and processes quickly with little guidance or documentation
  6. Edits and performs quality assurance checks on own work
  7. Able to multitask and remain flexible when working in a changeable environment in terms of scheduling and tasking
  8. Very proficient and productive in Microsoft Office (including Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Project etc.)
  9. Occasional travel is required to client sites and events (less than 25%)
