**Position requires an in-scope TS/SCI clearance.**

 

Serves as a neutral independent subject matter expert to advise OSL Site and Senior Management of all matters regarding ground occupational safety and fire protection compliance relative to OSL facilities and operations. Work shall include:

a. Conduct timely investigations of all safety and fire mishaps, near mishaps, and complaints of unsafe conditions in OSL controlled and/or occupied spaces.
b. Manage the OSL Site Commander's Ground Safety Program to include compliance with Life Safety Code and Air Force Fire Prevention Requirements. Conduct annual fire safety inspections of OSL  facilities as required by OSL agreements with the host base. Comply with host base process and reporting protocols. Maintain certification and complete any annual training as required by the OSL agreement with the host base.
c. Remain cognizant of all current and proposed Federal, State, Local, Air Force, and occupational safety laws, executive orders, regulations, directives, standards, and policies and advise OSL Site and Senior Management of impacts to OSL personnel, facilities and operations.
d. Prepare for government review and approval OSL responses to requests for information, requests for review, and data calls, originating from all sources both internal and external.
e. Gather, coordinate, interpret, and report safety metrics as required and appropriate, such as mishaps and incident rates.

f. As directed by OSL, attend meetings, serve on working groups, or otherwise represent OSL at various safety themed gatherings, such as host base safety or fire protection groups, Intelligence Community conferences, Environmental Safety Council, etc. 

g. Review Architect and Engineer studies and designs for proposed renovation and construction projects involving OSL facilities to validate compliance with applicable safety and frre protection criteria and best practices.
h. Attend construction progress meetings involving OSL facilities and review contractor submittals to validate compliance with applicable safety and fire protection criteria and best practices.
i. As directed by OSL or at least annually (calendar year), conduct internal Occupational Safety and Fire Protection Assessments to evaluate compliance of OSL facilities and operations with applicable Federal, State, Local, Air Force, and safety and fire protection laws, regulations, policies, and industry best practices Assessments shall include at a minimum:
• Complete visual inspection of all spaces, facilities, and structures on site that are the responsibility of OSL.
• Review of the OSL facilities Operations and Maintenance Contractor's safety and fire protection program, to include the procedures, training, and recordkeeping.
• Prepare a draft Assessments Report for government review detailing the Assessments, to include description/listing of areas of inspection, documents and programs reviewed, deficiencies found, and recommendations for correction. Following OSL management review/approval, revise and prepare final Assessments Report.
• Advise OSL management in the identification of corrective actions and alternatives, in means and methods to enact the corrective actions, and tracking open deficiencies until corrected (closed).
• Assist OSL management in reporting the internal Assessments and corrective actions to the Headqua1ters level Environmental and Safety Office
j. Assist with the external Headquarters level Environmental and Safety Office audit, to include pre­audit preparation, escort and technical support, and post-audit follow-up.

 1. Develops and applies quality standards in accordance with company and customer requirements.

 2. Designs and implements methods and procedures for testing and inspecting the quality level of products and equipment.

 3. Recommends corrective action for procedural, product, or process deficiencies.

 4. Interfaces with customers, vendors, and various company departments to resolve quality problems and provide information.

 5. Leads quality audits.

 6. May provide quality related training.

 7. Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced quality assurance personnel, and may have supervisory responsibilities.

 8. Participates in special projects as required.

Education 1. Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

 2. Masters Degree preferred.

Qualifications 8-10 years of related quality engineering experience.
