    Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

    Must be able to obtain an interim and/or final (e.g., confidential/secret/top secret, etc.) security clearance prior to entrance on duty AND must be able to maintain the required level of clearance while employed in the subject position.  Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

    GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Creditable specialized experience includes: 1) Reviewing data to conduct a variety of fiscal reconciliations and evaluations to support decision making efforts; 2) Compiling and summarizing narrative information into quantitative data; and/or 3) Analyzing financial data to support financial products and program initiatives; OR

    You must have a Master's or equivalent degree; or have completed two full years of graduate level education leading to such a degree that will provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the position; or have a LL.B. or J.D. if related; OR

    You have a combination of experience and education as described above which, when combined, is equivalent to 100% of the qualification requirement.

    GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Creditable specialized experience includes: 1) Assisting with budgetary planning, analysis, and formulation for a program; 2) Managing, monitoring, and coordinating the execution of budgets; 3) Preparing reports, charts, and graphs for presentations and briefings to higher level authorities; OR

    You must have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or have completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education in finance, accounting, or a closely related degree; or have a LL.M. if related. This education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position; OR

    You have a combination of experience and education as described above which, when combined, is equivalent to 100% of the qualification requirement.

    GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Creditable specialized experience includes: 1) Performing budgetary planning, analysis, and formulation for a program; 2) Providing financial management analysis in support of program management and resource planning; 3) Providing advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities.
     

    GS-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Creditable specialized experience includes: 1) Performing budgetary planning, analysis, and formulation for a program; 2) Providing financial management analysis in support of program management and resource planning; 3) Providing advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities; 4) identifying  operating policies and procedures to be developed or revised.

    This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) and requires additional education, training and experience. This position has been identified as a Career Field Business Financial Management at Level I/II/III.  If you possess DAWIA Certification, please indicate your Certification Level and Career Field information in your resume.

    This is a Financial Management Level (I/II/III) certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d.  This certification level must be achieved within prescribed timelines.  Certification requirements are outlined in the DoD Instruction 1300.26 available at http://www.dtic.mil/whs/directives/corres/pdf/130026_dodi_2017.pdf
