Position Overview
Freddie Mac’s Enterprise Model Risk Department (EMR) is currently seeking an Enterprise Model Risk Governance Senior. This position will support the implementation of Freddie Mac’s Model Risk Policy and Standards; monitor execution of model risk processes across six divisions; manage Model Risk Tool data integrity and operations; report risk and support the EMR Validation function. Responsibilities Include:
*Ongoing Interaction with Modeling Personnel in all Divisions
*Monitoring of Data Integrity and Execution of Model Risk Controls
*Identification of Risks & Problem Solving to Address Issues
*Liaison with Oversight and Remediation Submissions
*Model Risk Process Scheduling & Monitoring of Compliance
*Project Management
*Management Reporting
*Writing Procedures that comply with Corporate Standards
*Demonstration of Modeling Process/Business Acumen

Basic Requirements
*At least five years of work experience including Model Risk Management, Financial Institution Risk Management, Consulting, Audit/Compliance, Controllership, or comparable experience
*Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Economics, Risk Management, Accounting, or other related field
*Well-established skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
*Effective reasoning and problem solving skills, including ability to understand work assigned, ultimate objective, end-to-end tasks and deliverables.
*Effective verbal communication skills, including confidence while interacting with management and ability to work on a team or as an individual contributor
*Effective written communication skills, including use of proper grammar, good organization and concise messaging

Preferred Skills
*Advanced Certification (CFA, CPA, or PRM/APRM) or Master’s Degree, experience in Mortgage Industry a plus.
*Experience in an oversight environment, including analyzing risk, checking work of others, reporting issues and good customer relationships.
*Attention to detail, including identification of incomplete or incorrect data using a set of standards or rules
*Microsoft Access and Database Reporting, including ability to run queries, write macros in Excel
