This Financial Systems Analyst will gather, develop, coordinate, and maintain business processes for various projects from initial phase to final implementation.

The Financial Systems Analyst will provide DCS management with in-depth analysis of all pertinent financial data to support intelligent decision making in a timely manner.

This will entail maintaining a robust reporting and analytics infrastructure to prepare and analyze financial reports for budget and forecasting purposes, performing ad-hoc business analysis, presenting financials, and interfacing one-to-one with the management team to support achievement of business goals.

Essential Job Functions:

Responsible for complex tasks in various financial functions such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting and analysis.

Develop, write, and maintain Cognos reports.

Work with team to automate reporting and data analysis.

Participate in the continued planning and development of solutions to identify and enhance cost savings opportunities and improve processes. Develop forecasting and budgeting models.

Prepare analytical procedures related to the relationship of budget and actual accounts, abnormal balances and analyses.

Apply cost accounting principles in various systems and understand how data is captured and analyzed in various environments. Prepare and review financial datasets for errors and relevant patterns.

Analyze enterprise-wide business requirements and implement design utilizing Deltek Costpoint financial systems.

Develop solutions for end users relating to reporting financial data.

Assist users in the development and the implementation of all ad-hoc special reporting requirements inclusive of custom reports, reconciliation queries and reports.

Research, develop and present reporting solutions to various levels of management.

Provide business process and/or systems support that may include duties such as root cause analysis, mapping of current processes and/or systems, iterative problem definition and hypothesized improvement opportunities.

Participate as a team member to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes (e.g., diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools).

Requirements

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

High School/GED plus thirteen (13) years of experience.

Candidates with an Associate's degree plus seven (7) years of experience, a Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, Information System plus five (5) years of experience or a Masters and four (4) years of experience will also be considered.

Three (3) years of experience with financial analysis and systems support.

Strong experience data mapping and data modeling related to Costpoint.

Understanding of data mining and presentation.

Systems implementation experience including creating and modifying Costpoint interfaces.

In-depth understanding of table structures and database concepts.

Must possess advanced Microsoft Access skills and Excel skills with particular emphasis on data mining, pivot tables, v-lookups, macros and complex logic driven formulas.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and proven ability to use that data in a cohesive manner to present to management.

Ability to use data modeling tools and develop enterprise-wide solutions.

Work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.

Adept at communicating complex ideas and concepts in a manner that is easily understood across the organization, both verbally and in writing.

Ability to multi-task and manage time and multiple priorities effectively to successful completion.

Must be exceptionally self-motivated and directed. Must possess a work attitude and approach that exhibits flexibility, drive, good judgment and dependability.

Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Keen attention to detail. Strong organizational skills are a necessity.

Must have proven experience as the liaison between Finance and the IT Department, participating in upgrades and test cycles with integration and acceptance testing, and developing functional solutions and design specifications.

Desired Skills:

Experience with Deltek Costpoint configuration, Time and Expense configuration, Cognos report writing, and TM1 configuration.

Ability to write and troubleshoot Cognos reports desired.
