Job Description


Seeking a junior level software developer who will monitor and troubleshoot data related issues in order to learn the customer’s data domain.  The developer will write code and scripts to fix the data issues, with the ultimate goal of automating the data repair process.  As the developer’s skills increase, he/she will be given additional new development work commensurate with skill growth.



    Monitors dashboard, group email and ESMT queues for issuesEnsure data issues are resolved by fixing the issue or properly transferring the issue to a senior developer or external partnerCoordinate support with external partners as neededWork with senior Developers to resolve new or undocumented issuesDocuments issues and resolutionsCreate incident and service request ticketsMonitor team ticket queue and respond to Incident and Service Request ticketsProvide operational pager duty support (rotational schedule, no more than once every 2 months)Provide recommendations on dashboard improvementsProvide metrics
Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

    Experience with Linux operating systemExperience with Basic scripting Problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and collaboration skills Development experience in JavaSome knowledge of XML and XSLT

    Experience working in Agile environment Full lifecycle web application development​Development experience in the following languages and platforms:  Spring, Spring-Boot, Gradle, Ant, JavaScript, both SQL and no-SQL databasesExperience with middleware products such as Apache and TomcatExperience with AWS offerings such as EC2, ELB, ASG, RDS, DynamoDB, EMRExperience with DevOps/CI such as Puppet, CloudFormation, Jenkins, TravisCI Experience with both the operation of and interfacing with search engines such as Solr/ElasticsearchUnderstanding of ETL, and experience with ETL tools: NiFi, Pentaho, Twister
