Looking for an active Top-Secret cleared (with ability to qualify for SCI) individual for Operations and Maintenance of the HP suite of monitoring tools on Microsoft Windows Servers. Experience with Windows Server 2003, 2012 +, and Windows operating systems a must. BA/BS+ degree with 15+ years supporting IT systems preferred.

 

Skilled senior systems administrator will manage a variety of application tools hosted on Microsoft Windows servers. The candidate would be involved with maintaining applications (checking that the applications are running as expected, that the servers are patched and healthy, upgrading the applications or installing on new platforms as needed), using the applications (managing Active Directory groups, deploying agents to servers or servers, running ad-hoc reports, tracking agent installations), and other duties.  

 

QUALIFICATIONS: The primary tools supported on this contract are the HP Enterprise Management Suite of products, including Operations Manager for Windows, HP Business Service Management (BSM), and HP Universal Configuration Management Database. Experience with these specific applications is not mandatory, but is a plus.  

 

Applicant should have a strong understanding of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems and previous experience with managing or upgrading applications.  

 

Experience with Windows Server administration

 

  • Familiarity with/prior experience managing or power user of any of the following tools is a plus:    
  • HP BTO Tools suite    
  • HP Operations Manager for Windows (OMW) or HP OpenView    
  • HP Operations Manager/Business Service Management (OMi/BSM)    
  • HP Universal Configuration Management Database System (uCMDB)    
  • HP Storage Operations Manager (SOM)    
  • Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)    
  • SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor
 

Active TS with the ability to hold an SCI clearance is required.

 

Must hold an active, current TS clearance and have the ability to obtain and hold an SCI. Candidate would have to have a clean criminal background, meet residency requirements, and be able to pass a CI polygraph.

 

 


Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Qualifications 5-8 years of directly related experience in network administration and support.
