Job Summary:

Westat is seeking a technical assistance provider to join our Education Study Area who has experience with early intervention data. 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical assistance to state and local agencies regarding the collection, analysis, reporting, and use of early intervention and special education data.
  • Build relationships with state agency staff to understand state context and identify areas of need.
  • Work with a team to plan, implement, and deliver technical assistance services to states.
  • Use distance technology in provision of TA services.
  • Create and maintain records detailing TA services provided to states.
  • Identify areas of need and develop resources to improve the quality of state and local early intervention and special education data.
  • Participate in regular calls and quarterly in-person meetings to discuss technical assistance challenges and successes.
  • Manage multiple tasks in a team-oriented environment.

  • Job Requirements:

    ·     Master's or equivalent degree in education or a related social science field and 8 years of relevant experience with technical assistance, data collection, data analysis, and disability and education policy. ·     Excellent writing, presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.

    Preference will be given to individuals with extensive experience working with state agencies and who have previous experience working directly with state and local agency staff on data required under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
