Responsible for designing, planning, implementing and administering databases, including security, access, and documentation.


The BMC Remedy Action Request System (ARS) EITSM 7.x Administrator for the USAF BMC EITSM system will be responsible for the administration of the Remedy AR System ITSM 7.x server objects and data.

The right candidate will demonstrate ability to manage BMC Remedy ARS forms, active links, filters, and associated objects. In addition, this individual will have a working knowledge of the Change Management application. This individual must have proven reliability and dependability along with strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Highlights of Responsibilities

• Administration of BMC Remedy 7.x ARS forms, active links, filters, and associated objects

• Administration of BMC Remedy 7.x EITSM suite applications

• Configuration of the Remedy 7.x EITSM Change Management application

• Knowledge of Remedy 2.x CMDB and EITSM 7.x Asset Management

• Assist with Remedy installation, upgrades, and patching

• Assist with Remedy integration with third party Commercial-Off-The-Shelf software that will be integrated into the production USAF BMC Remedy EITSM system

• Developing/implementing forms, active links, filters, escalations, dashboards, menus, guides, reporting, and other related components

• Administer and maintain Oracle database Real-Time Application Cluster (RAC) and Grid Control.



1. Participates in the design, maintenance, enhancement, coding, and administration of relational databases.

 2. Analyzes and determines information needs and elements, data relationships and attributes, data flow and storage requirements, and data output and reporting capabilities.

 3. Coordinates new data development ensuring consistency and integration with existing data warehouse structure.

 4. Reviews business requests for data and data usage, researches data sources for new and better data feeds.

 5. Participates in continuous improvement efforts in enhancing performance and providing increased functionality, including performing proactive maintenance such as ensuring continued space availability, monitoring activity, and documenting problems, changes, and solutions.

 6. Tests designed applications.

 7. Assignments may include design of data dictionaries, database structure and layout, installing, upgrading, and managing database applications.

 8. Stay current on vendors' best security practices in relation to organizational requirements.

 9. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

 10. Participates in special projects as required.

Education Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Qualifications 2-5 years of related database analysis and/or administration experience.

 Requirements • 3-5 years of directly related experience in network analysis and administration • Active Secret clearance. • DOD 8570 Certification - CompTIA Security+ CE. • Knowledgeable in U. S. Government and USAF policies and for data processing of sensitive information • Proficiency in Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Office required • TCP/IP knowledgeable • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Capable of working well with others in a team environment. Able to work with minimal direction and fosters a collaborative effort amongst his colleagues and his customers. • Organizes time effectively and determines the right resources needed to effectively perform job assignments. Preferred Education and Experience • Knowledgeable in U. S.
