Media Forensics Specialist

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting audio / video forensics collection, preservation, analysis / processing, reporting, and testimony, if needed. Analysis / processing may include but, is not limited to, digitization, conversion, enhancement to include redaction, authentication, and speaker recognition (audio only).  Responsibilities include following client requirements; recognizing, identifying, tagging, and redacting significant or reportable findings in audio / video media (e.g. events, identities, locations);  handling evidentiary media using best practices in digital media forensics; producing detailed analysis reports describing the process(es) of examination activity;  maintaining high-level of competence in AV analysis/processing techniques, software tools, and customer policy;  establishing working relationships with peers and supported customers;  collaborating with development and workflows teams to implement process improvements and realizing new efficiencies to streamline the forensics analysis / processing workflow;  and partaking in training opportunities and working group meetings as required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in digitizing, converting, enhancing, redacting, and authenticating various analog and digital media formats. 
  • Knowledge and expertise in graphic file, video file, and audio file specifications, formats, processing, and forensic methodologies.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in related field or computer forensics and 4 years of professional work experience
  • Or a Master's degree and 2 years of professional work experience,
  • Or a PhD degree

Plus’s:

  • Agile Methodology
  • Law Enforcement & Emergency Services Video Association International (LEVA) certification
