PURPOSE: Responsible for the overall costing/bidding, design, testing, configuration, and implementation of highly complex , enterprise-scale, security systems and IT systems. Provides solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of expertise, analysis, and responsibility. Responsible for the overall costing/bidding, design, testing, integration, configuration, and implementation of highly complex security systems and IT systems. Provides high degree of expertise in hardware, operating systems, databases, applications, and scalable operations. Responsible for maintaining technical proficiency in emerging technologies, standards, business practices. Responsible for: Providing advanced technical support for implementing and resolving issues with complex security systems (Access Control, IDS, CCTV) within Simulation Labs and PreInstallation Test and Checkout (PITCO) Develop best practices for building common operating environment of hardware, virtualization, operating system, IA hardening for security applications Develop scalable operations interfaces using SNMP, WMI, and manufacturer proprietary interfaces Provide hands-on technical expertise designing, integrating, and resolving complexities integrating systems between different manufacturers Provide hands-on technical expertise designing, integrating, and implementing large scale enterprise security systems that use database replication, message bus, and other methods across a distributed network Provide hands-on technical expertise designing, integrating, and implementing system and network operations using COTS products and embedded operating system interfaces. Has deep hands-on expertise and practical knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux, and VMWare Has deep hands-on expertise and practical knowledge of building high availability virtualization environments and disaster recovery system capabilities. Has deep hands-on expertise and practical knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and limited Oracle knowledge Maintains industry-related technical certifications (Microsoft Cisco, VMWare, CompTIA, CISSP) and can obtain certifications as needed via self-study Understanding of IT based network systems and electronic systems using analog signaling Evaluate new systems, applications, and technologies and provide real-world technology assessments. Require in-depth knowledge of IT environments and technology. Strong analytical abilities and professional client experience. High aptitude and keen on detail. Designing and installing mid to large scale server infrastructure, troubleshooting complex problems between platforms and vendors Require in depth knowledge of IT systems and network design and operations. Have administration knowledge of the setup/maintenance of Linux based servers. Must be able to independently design, build, and support large scale IT systems Certified knowledge of Windows and Unix based systems and OS. Supporting more complex client/server interaction problems and complex workstation issues such as registry based issues and application conflicts. Performing advanced network consulting, design, installation, and support. Understand system security, hardening, STIGs, Federal Information Assurance standards Installing patches and software on file servers and configuring desktop management from servers. Installation and the maintenance of vendor supplied software and user support. Performing advanced network consulting, design, installation, and support. Advanced knowledge of VMware 'virtual environments' of servers and workstations. Design and the installation of complex server cluster groups and their maintenance. Be very proficient in reviewing server, database and proxy logs. Knowledge of TCP/IP DHCP and DNS servers and their configurations. Adding and deleting user accounts using Microsoft Active Directory. Knowledge of configuring and supporting local, network printers and plotters. Install and perform file server administration and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Server and UNIX servers. Be able to setup 'Custom Attributes' in Microsoft Active directory and work with Group Policies. Be able to update/modify scripts to automate server-based functions. Manage/configure SAN (Storage Area Networks) and NAS (Network Attached Storage) Knowledge of TCP/IP DHCP and DNS servers and their configurations. Assessing network needs and recommend solutions. Generating technical documentation. Overseeing technical jobs that require multiple technicians. Providing advanced engineering services and consulting and managing large-scale installations/rollouts that require numerous technicians and engineers. Designing and implementing new solutions for solving complex problems and providing integration between miscellaneous vendor products. Attention to detail in completing work tasks.
