Overview:The Benefits Specialist serves on the TwentyEighty Talent Management team providing responsive and efficient processing of all employee and company requests concerning benefits and US payroll. This role will assist our employees, global benefits team, and US payroll team in both an internal and external capacity to ensure seamless benefits processing throughout the benefits lifecycle of employee elections/questions, HRIS carrier connections, checking payroll for correct benefit deductions, and ensuring vendor invoices are correct. As well, familiarity with state and federal taxation is helpful from a payroll perspective. The role's responsibilities will grow quickly as we move to an insourced benefits model, and there will be exposure to global benefits as well. Specifically, the role will answer the benefits and payroll questions from employees via inbox and phone, problem solve questions via system lookups and research and respond back within 24 hours. The Benefits Specialist will escalate severe issues to the Global Benefits Director or US Payroll Manager, review data spreadsheets to ensure the accuracy of information and fix any inaccuracies systematically to resolve issues, review US semi-monthly payroll and document inaccuracies for payroll coordinator, and occasionally serve as a backup for EMEA/APAC payroll. Preferred candidates will have a solid foundation in benefits administration and processes, labor leave laws and payroll schedules associated with leaves, experience working with benefits carriers, use of ADP payroll systems, and insourced payroll for both full-time and part-time employees.Responsibilities:Advise employees via email inbox and phone on benefits and payroll policies, programs and procedures, responding within 24 hours per our customer service level expectations.Ensure accuracy when processing benefits forms for new/current employees.Run weekly 401k reports as and upload semi-monthly contributions to Fidelity.Liaise with insurance carriers with regard to plans, connections, eligibility, claims processing, and enrollments, including reviewing invoices for accuracy.Assist in preparing for the annual US employee benefits renewal process.Administer backup commuter benefits, corporate wellness benefits, and FSA.Actively serve as a reviewer of semi-monthly payroll of 650 employees across 35+ states.Leverage exposure to multi-state payroll processing to ensure correct employee tax alignment, as well as department alignment, when employees transfer.Responsible for leave management payroll schedules and alignment to payroll, as well as associated payroll calendars.Administer Workers' Compensation program.Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned, such as organization chart updates and employee memos.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Administration, or other related degree.1-3 years of benefits administration experience in an insourced environment. Professional Benefits Certification a plus.1-3 years of payroll knowledge preferred. Professional Payroll Certification a plus.Experience managing employee enrollments and coordinating health, dental, vision, STD, LTD, HSA, FSA benefits with various carriers.Tactical knowledge of 401K regulations, uploads and plans.Tactical ADP administration experience, with a preference for ADP Workforce Now.Ownership of data integrity and accurate reporting in prior role.Knowledge of labor laws and regulations, both federal and state.Verbal and written communication experience with all personnel levels exemplifying tact and diplomacy.Superior attention to detail while ensuring quick response times.Ability to handle confidential information and materials with care and discretion.The ability to prioritize competing deadlines and tasks.TwentyEighty provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
