Regional Sales Manager - Defense/Aerospace - East Coast
Job SummaryRegional Sales Manager-Defense/Aerospace is responsible for achieving the sales quota of all RGB Spectrum products to Aerospace, and Defense customers within their assigned area for account management and channel management.Work PerformedResponsible for achieving the quarterly sales quota.Interact with and support network of manufacturer's reps for the Aerospace and Defense Channel where necessary and to sell direct to the customers where appropriate. Support attainment of quarterly quotas by rep firms.Handle all sales leads and inquires in a timely manner utilizing RGB's CRM system.Conduct training and product demo sessions within the region.Complete quotations for all RFQs within the region.Particular attention will be required in pursuing embedded solutions opportunities and wins. Contribute to preparing and maintaining a Design Win Action Plans for each account. Track the sales performance of the region verses quota by rep territory.All Contact event data must be documented in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM management system, to include detailed account management, opportunities and forecast tracking using established lead/ sales process. Complete all other administrative requirements (including expense accounts) on a weekly basis.Attend national and regional trade shows and provide support for setup, tear down and working the booth at the show.Normal Job RequirementsSkills and knowledge required:Requires extensive prior experience in the A&D hardware component, sub-assembly and systems solution channels. Familiarity with video management at the board-level in C4ISR, Command / Tactical Operations Center, Simulations and Training, Weapons and Range Control, and UAS Ground Control business areas preferred.Familiarity with East Coast DoD facilities, Commands / Program Offices / End-Users, Test Ranges, Development Labs, Tier 1 / 2 / 3 OEMs and Primes, and Defense Budget process, including (but not limited to) New England, Metro Northern Virginia / DC / Maryland area, Huntsville and Orlando tech areas.A self-starter, highly motivated to close sales, with the ability to quickly learn technical product portfolio and capabilities, and use this knowledge in a consultative sales approach is required.Requires excellent communication and selling skills.Requires extensive travel throughout region.Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of related experience with video management knowledge, particularly as a Regional Sales Manager selling technical products.Prior military experience desirable.Education and training:Requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent directly related experience in technical sales.
