Controls Sales EngineerSUMMARYA successful Controls Sales Engineer is expected to garner controls revenue and achieve margingoals by supporting our mission to deliver exceptional customer service through the saleand execution of projects involving HVAC equipment, building automation systems andmechanical services. This individual will be tasked to identify and sell HVAC and automationsolutions that can help the client achieve their environmental, operational, financial, andpeople goals.FLSA STATUS: ExemptPOSITION TYPE: Full-TimeREPORTS TO: Controls Operations LeaderESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other functions may be assigned.a€ cents Researches and identifies new customers, cultivates relationships to build and generaterevenue.a€ cents Develops general working knowledge of companies offerings.a€ cents Utilizes account management processes for target customers.a€ cents Generates and implements specific action plans that improve project closure rate andproduce profitable business.a€ cents Designs and delivers presentations for prospective clients.a€ cents Converts leads into opportunities. Develops opportunities into win-win projects forcustomers and company.a€ cents Leads or supports, depending on the opportunity, coordinated sales efforts involvingmultiple sales groups.a€ cents Works effectively in a team selling environment.a€ cents Works with existing and prospective customers to understand and implement projectgoals.a€ cents Improves project closure rate through high level business relationships.a€ cents Collects pertinent project information required to create quality project estimates andcommunicates to operations.a€ cents Coordinates and attends site reviews as required.a€ cents Periodically creates project estimates for opportunities not involving design documents.a€ cents Confirms project scope and bill of material with customers.a€ cents Determines recommended selling strategy and initial pricing.a€ cents Presents the proposal and negotiates price and contract terms and conditions withcustomers.a€ cents Maintains a working knowledge of current local utility incentive programs and leveragesrebates to improve project closure rate and margins. a€ cents Follows up with buying influences to secure orders.a€ cents Coordinates or engages in the project execution process as required.a€ cents Resolves deviations in scope with the customer to preserve client experience andsatisfaction.a€ cents Consistently ascertains customer needs and current market opportunities.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential dutysatisfactorily.
