The director of nursing is responsible for planning, directing, and evaluating all nursing functions within the Psych nursing division, which includes an adult voluntary inpatient psych unit, psych evaluation service (within the ED), an inpatient chemical dependency unit and outpatient and community psych settings. He/she supervises and supports the Patient Care Managers, formulates goals, recommends budget, and provides oversight and direction as needed to ensure safe, effective, high quality patient care and the highest standards of nursing practice.Full Time (40 hours)Day ShiftPay grade - Exec 20Four to seven years of progressively responsible nursing administration experience required. Psychiatric nursing experience is a must. Experience with functionality of clinical information systems and how they impact workflow and clinical practice in acute setting preferred.
