Job Description & Requirements Neurologist - Physician - (Neurology - Neuro) Locum Tenens StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day The Army is in need of a full time Neurologist. The provider must be board certified in neurology and have an active state license. The provider will be required to have a current BLS, ACLS, and DEA. These life supports must be thru the AHA and the DEA must be fee paid and non-exempt. The physician must have 36 months of practice in the last 48. The provider must be comfortable working with all all ages. The patients will be seen in an outpatient setting, and the normal clinic hours are 730am to 430pm. There is some inpatient rounding expected, but will be during daytime hours. The on-call is expected to be telephonic and averages 7 days. A neurologist(locum tenens) is trained to diagnose and treat disorders of the nervous system, as well as medical conditions such as Alzheimer's, stroke, and neck and spine injuries. Diagnostic tests on the brain, neck nerves, and reflexes offer these physicians insight into the nature of the illness of injuries that their patient is experiencing. Research neurologists participate in clinical studies and conduct research in an attempt to improve treatments for diseases and injuries of the nervous system.
