Grant Thornton is seeking a Manager to join its Alexandria Audit practice and provide quality audit support services in accordance with the relevant regulations, government policies/procedures and client policies/procedures.Grant Thorntona€ (TM) s Public Sector helps executives and managers at all levels of government maximize performance and efficiency in the face of ever tightening budgets and increased demand for services. Our public sector team members find solutions that help government leaders with issues including acquisitions, financial management, human capital, information technology and performance management in federal, state, local and international governments.At Grant Thornton, our professional staff applies traditional and cutting-edge audit approaches and methods to a variety of audits. As part of our team, the Manager will utilize various audit methodologies and models to execute client projects.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Strong interpersonal skills and experience in supervising a project team.Extensive knowledge of IT controls and best practices.Extensive knowledge of industry trends and security issues in applications/systems, client/servers and IT processes.Advanced understanding in one or more of the following areas: operating system security, database security, network security, encryption and software asset management.Perform engagement management responsibilities, including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials, quality review and client management.Meet or exceed sales targets for new and follow-on work.Manage business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).Act as performance manager (coach) for up to four coachees outside of engagement responsibilities.Interview campus and/or experienced candidates.Undergraduate (bachelors) degree from an accredited college/university in accounting, computer information systems or management information systems is preferred.Minimum five years of experience in one or more of the following capabilities: auditing and/or financial reporting, FISCAM assessment and/or IT audit.Experience with internal control testing.Experience with FISCAM, DIACAP, FISMA, A-127, FFMIA and NIST SP 800-53.Knowledge of OMB A-123 documentation, testing and reporting requirements.Strong interpersonal skills and experience in supervising a project team.Extensive knowledge of IT controls and best practices.Extensive knowledge of industry trends and security issues in applications/systems, client/servers and IT processes.Advanced understanding in one or more of the following areas: operating system security, database security, network security, encryption and software asset management.CISA required.Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.U.S. citizenship may be required.
