TAD PGS, INC. is currently seeking an Actuarial Associate in Frederick, MD. Responsibilities: Research new product ideas, competitors' products and prices *Review and summarize key features or differences for competitor products *Set up and run pricing model or spreadsheet to evaluate product or price change *Summarize financial impact of any new products or product changes *Write product specifications for new product and/or price change *Document final pricing results Participate in the innovation and development of new products *Design new and differentiated features *Research assumptions *Develop financial models on statutory, GAAP, Economic Capital, and EEV basis *Analyze results and identify key profit drivers *Recommend actions based on analysis and research Assist with illustration actuary and self-support requirements *Review mortality, lapse, and expense parameters and compare to actual results *Set up and run projection model using latest new and in force business *Run sensitivity tests of changes to key assumptions *Reconcile results to prior year results or pricing model results *Create report documenting assumptions and all results Verification of value of new business calculations *Set up and run projection model based on actual new business sold *Reconcile differences between pricing model and EEV model *Summarize results *Update populations utilized for pricing analysis at quarterly intervals Perform analysis of changes to actuarial assumptions *Set up and run projection models *Reconcile differences from results under previous assumptions *Summarize results Provide support to marketing and administrative areas as required Qualifications: *BA Math/Statistics *Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation/near ASA *5 years insurance/actuarial experience *Must be experienced with actuarial projection software *Knowledgeable in life insurance reserve (statutory and tax) and non-forfeiture regulations prefered *Strong Database/spreadsheet capabilities *Excellent written and oral communication skills.
