In addition, incumbent will contribute to a range of activities related to faculty human resources and administration and work closely with APUS academic & other departments. The incumbent will help develop and implement human resources policies and programs including personnel records, employee relations, job evaluations, and benefits as well as assist in long-term HR planning, APUS policy and procedures updates, monitoring performance evaluations, EEOC and FMLA compliance among APUS Faculty. Incumbent may have supervisory responsibility for non-exempt employee(s).Essential Functions:Provide customer service and updates to faculty, the faculty HR & administration team, managers and vendors by responding to emails and phone calls within 24 a€" 48 hours.Maintain a high degree of confidentiality when dealing with faculty, program/faculty directors, and school deans on employee matters relative to the HR function.Serve as a link between program/faculty directors and faculty by handling questions, interpreting and administering APUS policies and helping resolve work-related problems.Handles employee relations counseling and outplacement counseling; responds to employee related issues and escalates as necessary.Responsible for the distribution of counseling documentation, information, and the acknowledgement process to faculty through Adobe Sign, including inbox facilitation.Act as a resource to program/faculty directors and faculty in resolving discrimination and harassment issues, performance and discipline concerns.Advise drogram/faculty directors on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend changes as appropriate.Assist with the benefits administration, compensation, performance appraisals, and other human resources functions.Analyze internal processes; recommend and implement procedural or policy changes to improve efficiency.Coordinate various functions to include but not limited to implementing and maintaining job evaluation to include job descriptions and job classification.Utilize the Human Capital Management System (HCMS) effectively to maintain employee database and produce ad-hoc reports as requested.Responds to requests and attends hearings for unemployment compensation claims, employment verifications, and background investigations.Maintain and protects employee records as required by law and the company. Update HCMS database.Assist in development and delivery of training for remote employees as appropriate (UltiPro, PAD, forms/documents on Intranet).Contribute as a subject matter expert to faculty handbook and employee handbook.Coordinate/contribute and report on special projects such as faculty exit interviews and faculty awards and recognition programs.Coordinate/contribute to employee engagement and recognition activities such as new faculty survey (within 30 to 45 days of hire) and end of year faculty holiday gifts/cards.Act as Administrator for the EchoSpan Performance Management System and EchoSpan inbox.Maintenance of department SOP's and other documents.Other duties as assigned.RequirementsCritical Skills and Job Complexity:Management of Personal Resources a€" Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
