Review of records during patient's inpatient stay. Review for Present on Admission, Diagnosis clarification, PPC's identified during the patient stay. Under minimal supervision, the Clinical Documentation Specialist will conduct concurrent review of documentation in selected HCGH medical records and identify opportunities to ensure severity of illness is documented and appropriate reimbursement is received for the level of service provided to our patients in compliance with State and Federal regulations through more comprehensive documentation. Works closely with professional staff to ensure that appropriate documentation is entered into the medical record prior to coding and provides ongoing education for the coding and clinical staff. 40 hours per week Day Shift 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Work Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing is required.
