Baltimore, MD: The Johns Hopkins Hospital Pay Grade: RN The Nurse Educator for the CVSICU is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for nursing staff within a specific functional unit as well as the Department of Nursing. In the organization and administration of staff development efforts, the Nurse Educator applies nursing, adult learning, and other theories as appropriate. The Nurse Educator functions as an educational advisor to nursing personnel and as a facilitator for their continued development. Competencies: A. Education: Mastera€ (TM) s degree from an accredited school of nursing, and coursework in curriculum development, evaluation, or adult education. B. Knowledge: a€ cents Demonstrates clinical knowledge and teaching experience in area of expertise. a€ cents Ability to incorporate advanced clinical and theoretical concepts into education. a€ cents General computer knowledge and capability to use computers. C. Skills: a€ cents Ability to document legibly using a writing instrument. a€ cents Demonstrates interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with all members of the interdisciplinary health care team to enhance collaboration and problem-solving. a€ cents Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in order to provide information to patients and healthcare personnel. D. Required Licensure, Certification, Etc: Current registered nurse licensure in the State of Maryland. E.
