SUMMARYThe manufacturing engineer role is responsible for all detailed processes in connection with manufacturing, routings, and time studies. A successful candidate will be involved in reviewing new releases for design and manufacturing. The manufacturing engineer will assist with recommendations for new equipment and tooling. They will also provide shop floor support to aid in improving the coordination and collaboration between departments and teams. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESIdentify and implement process improvements to meet Quality, Safety, and Productivity initiatives.Collaborate with production and other teams by attending scheduled meetings to ensure timely improvements on processes.Assist with recommendations for new equipment and tooling.Write assembly work processes and man assignment proceduresReview and select required special tooling and equipmentProcess documentation and control of prototype assembly issuesAssist in plant layout and work station design BASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelora€ (TM) s degree in related fieldInternship experience or 6-plus months related work experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSLean/Six Sigma understanding or certification is idealExperience with automotive or heavy-duty equipmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skills Oshkosh Corporation is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
