Carmeuse products are diversely utilized across a wide range of industries including steel manufacturing, power generation, road construction and land development, water and waste water treatment, pulp and paper production, and more.Staffed by up to 2,000 employees throughout 28 production facilities in Eastern US and Canada, with North America operations headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, Carmeuse not only offers products, but also value-added services such as technical support, application support, and logistics support to optimize customer processes.Department Description: General Description:Inspects build-up in ducts and removes build-up as necessaryOperate the hydrator and loadout systems maintain accurate loading log sheetsTake inventory measurements.Oiling and greasing equipment on a periodic schedulePerforming shift housekeeping responsibilitiesPosition changes with posted rotation vacations, meetings, etc.Operates equipment that crushes, grinds, separates and loads limestone according to texture and grade.Presses buttons or flips switches on control panels to start conveyors, crushers, mills, separators and loading units.Overtime and rotating shifts are required.Performs routine maintenance on equipment such as lubricating, belt splicing, cleaning, etc.Shovels spillages clear of moving equipment parts and work areas.Maintains housekeeping standards in assigned areas.Replaces or assists other workers as needed.Performs other tasks as assigned by supervision.Ensures material loaded meets customer quality expectations.General Work Conditions:Most tasks performed outside or in areas which may not be climate controlled. Noise is constant or intermittent or a pitch that may cause marked distraction, bodily fatigue and may require hearing protection. Most tasks performed outside exposed to ambient weather conditions. Dusty conditions are possible. Work is repetitive and continuous.
