Lead Systems Engineer

Summary: Provide direction and oversight of the desktop and server infrastructure at HCGH. The lead systems engineer (LSE) will be responsible for leading the efforts of server and desktop management practices to provide stability and reliability for the systems and applications that run at HCGH. In addition, he or she will ensure that those practices are in line and satisfy the requirements initiated by the Enterprise Technology Services group at Johns Hopkins. Requirements: Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field of study is required or 10+ years of experience in the field leading desktop and server management technologies. Technical experience in a healthcare information systems environment is preferred. The candidate must meet or exceed the following requirements: a€ cents Ability to lead technology efforts within HCGH IT with limited direction of IT Director a€ cents 10 years managing complex desktop and server environments a€ cents 5+ years' experience in SCCM a€ cents Proficient in desktop and server automation, designing workflows and automating procedures a€ cents Experience in scripting in Power Shell, VB, or equivalent a€ cents Excellent customer relationship skills is extremely important a€ cents Ability to mentor, lead and teach staff a€ cents Exhibit detail oriented documentation skills Experience in a supervisory role is preferred.
