Wholesale Post Closer
Overview:The Wholesale Post Closer will ensure that closed and funded loans contain all necessary documentation and meet all applicable investor documentation/delivery requirements prior to transfer of loan to Loan Servicing department. This position will also confirm that all closed and funded loan files are received timely and are fully executed. The Post Closer will work closely with settlement agents to confirm all closing instructions were met successfully while monitoring and coordinating the delivery of all trailing documentation. They will work with the Real Estate Servicing team to provide necessary documentation for the booking/onboarding of loans. Upon successful completion of all post-closing requirements, the Post Closer will transfer the funded loan applications to the Real Estate Servicing team for loan onboarding. Responsibilities:- Review all closed/funded loans to ensure all closing instructions were completed by the settlement agent- Responsible for the retrieval of any and all missing documentation discovered via loan review- Coordinate and track the delivery of the trailing documentation- Complete all post-closing activities in Empower- Review all collateral documentation including but not limited to: note, mortgage, CEMA documentation- Verify the collateral documentation meets the applicable investor requirements- Review all signed loan documents for compliance with Federal and State laws- Ensure that all closed loan packages meet the Credit Union standards for quality and accuracy- Transfer imaged file to Identifi image database- Transfer completed file to Loan Servicing department for onboarding to DNA- Provide Servicing Package to the Real Estate Servicing team- Work in collaboration and partnership with other team members- Additional job related projects as assigned by ManagementQualifications:- Minimum 1-2 years of first mortgage experience required- Previous experience as a mortgage closer/funder preferred - Experience working with wholesale loans is a plus- Knowledge of all recent RESPA, TILA and HMDA requirements- Knowledge of Agency guidelines and requirements inclusive of FNMA DU and FHLMC LP - Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written- Excellent customer service skills with a high attention to detail- Ability to prioritize workload based on department requirements and customer needs- Strong analytical skills required with a high degree of accuracy - Ability to work flexible hours as needed- Ability to multi-task in other areas of the unit- Aptitude to work independently as well as part of a team- Positive attitude and team-oriented- Ability to function in changing environment.
