JOB TITLE: Rapid Capability Insertion Hardware Engineer (Naval Air Warfare Center)This position is contingent upon contract award.PROJECT OVERVIEW: This position assists the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division in supporting the warfighter in becoming the premier provider of rapid insertion/technology transition of advanced technologies (eg, systems, sensors, and weapons/weapon systems) in order to support their clients, and direct insertion of technology to support urgent fleet needs.JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division 4.11.6 in identifying technology trends and applications of computer hardware that will generate and leverage advances in computer technology. Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems. Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. Performing functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Security Clearance: Secret Five (5) years of experience with the following: applying, evaluating, integrating and leading integrating engineering principles directly related to DoD systems. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in engineering. Active Secret Security Clearance.DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Three (3) years of experience reviewing and preparing engineering and technical analysis, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. Experience working with rapid technology insertion. Experience applying engineering experience to hardware and software procurement support, technical support, and systems engineering support Working knowledge of naval aviation platforms and missions Previous NAVAIR or military aviation experience.
