Director, Membership Development (Sales)The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) is seeking a Director, Membership Development to join our highly successful and committed membership team. Engage with a senior-level audience at medium-sized manufacturing companies for the purpose of generating new membership dues. The role will emphasize establishing prospective member relationship via inside sales, discussion of current political issues with senior-level executives and managing the inside sales process through a consultative sales approach. Position works collaboratively with other members of the team to reach revenue goals.Join the NAM and Make an Impact in the Following Ways:Leveraging a consultative sales approach, engage with senior-level executives at mid-sized manufacturing companies to demonstrate the value of NAM membership.Develop and qualify leads within assigned territory to drive additional sales opportunities through cold-calling and lead generation campaigns.Gathering business intelligence on companies, leads and qualified prospects to drive revenue generation.Effectively managing the transition of new members to retention team members.In partnership with the retention team, develop programs, webinars, and collateral to engage new members and encourage membership renewals.Assist in developing consultative sales training materials and programs in achieving mid-market sales goals.Assist in developing and tracking overall mid-market sales goals and reporting regularly on progress to goals, plans for achieving goals and leading team efforts to achieve the goals.Document progress, opportunities, and contacts by capturing the information from NAMIS.Effectively communicating with prospective companies, following up in a timely manner with relevant information, programs, and subject matter experts to close the sale.We are looking for Team Players who meet the Following Criteria:Bachelora€ (TM) s degree in business, marketing, or relevant field.10+ years of demonstrated experience in sales and/or account management.Background or strong interest in politics and business policy issues is highly desirable.Excellent communication and writing skills required.Prior political fundraising experience is preferred.Ability to work effectively with chief executive officers and senior management.Ability to communicate effectively and build lasting relationships with C-Suite executives.Results oriented with the ability to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial goals.Excellent relationship-building skills and transactional sales experience.Proficiency in computer skills including MS Office programs, database and internet research.Ability to work flexible schedule to meet high volume work periods.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) is the largest manufacturing association in the United States and one of the nationa€ (TM) s most influential advocates for manufacturing.
