Security Systems Engineer/Penetration Tester

Key Role:

Perform penetration and configuration compliance testing to assess IT system adherence to published security standards and industry best practices. Assess the security engineering and architecture of IT initiatives. Evaluate IT project System Security Plans (SSP) and Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) and provide recommendations to the authorizing official, system owner, and ISSO. This position is located in Reston, VA.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with penetration and vulnerability testing tools, including Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nessus, or Wireshark

-Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

-BA or BS degree and 10+ years of experience with developing, implementing, integrating, maintaining, and evaluating security engineering and security architecture for IT enterprise architectures or MA or MS degree and 8+ years of experience with developing, implementing, integrating, maintaining, and evaluating security engineering and security architecture for IT enterprise architectures

-Certified Information Security Specialist Professional (CISSP) Certification or GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC)

Additional Qualifications:

-1+ years of experience with Information Technology Systems Security Risk Management, Certification and Accreditation, ICD 503, or DCID 6/3 preferred

-Experience with working in the intelligence community

-Experience with the Linux and Unix command line

-Knowledge of virtualization and Cloud computing platforms, including VMWare, Xen, or Openstack preferred

-BA or BS degree in Computer Engineering, CS, EE, Information Systems, or IT preferred; MA or MS degree in Computer Engineering, CS, EE, Information Systems, or IT a plus

-Pen Testing Certifications, including CEH, ECSA, GPEN, or OSCP preferred

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
