Job Description Xometry is looking for Project Engineers who will interface with clients as well work with our network of facilities for end-to-end management of custom manufacturing orders. Applicants with prior experience in machining or additive manufacturing (3D printing) are preferred. As Project Engineers, you will be responsible for working with existing and potential customers across an array of industries including aerospace, defense, commercial, automotive, industrial and medical devices. It is critical that you have the ability to identify customer needs and to provide solutions utilizing Xometry's extensive portfolio of technologies. Once an order is placed, you will be responsible for the oversight of order execution to ensure customer success. In order to do this, you must will interface directly with machine shops and 3D printing bureaus across the country. Education and Qualifications Undergraduate degree, preferably a BS degree in Engineering. 1-3 years of consultative, manufacturing-services related sales or technical support experience preferred. Experience with 3D CAD modeling software is necessary. Experience with CAM modeling software preferred. Knowledge of machining, highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of troubleshooting concepts and techniques. Exceptional communication skills: must be capable of persuasive communication both externally and internally. High energy and comfortable interfacing and selling. Able to work well in a fast-paced start-up environment.
