GIS Developer / Designer
Job Description Mary Kraft has an immediate need for a GIS Developer / Designer for a client in the Baltimore, MD area. This individual will be responsible for centralizing data, services, and mapping documents from multiple agencies who can also support and assist users in building distributed GIS solutions. In addition, the GIS Developer / Designer will also act as a security manager for GIS resources in the Enterprise, including managing users and roles in ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Portal, and ArcGIS Server. Qualifications: 4+ years of hands on experience implementing GIS solutions Willingness to adapt to using skill set for non-GIS purposes (as needed) 2 years involved in analyzing and designing GIS solutions on an enterprise level Previous experience working with analysts, developing collected data, and using GIS tools to construct Decision Support materials to help command staff to both analyze and solve problems Ability to define, develop, create, configure, and maintain both static and dynamic mashups using ArGIS online, ArcGIS portal, ArcMap 10.4, and web applications using ESRI AJAX API Experience in gathering large datasets from heterogeneous sources and manipulating the data to conform to an existing definition, or to create tables in the enterprise geodatabase to store the data using both ArcCatalog 104 as well as client-sie tools such as Oracle SQL Developer Experience designing and constructing schemas, tables, views, functions, and stored procedures for the purpose of supporting an enterprise database using Oracle Locator as well as SDE functions. Extensive experience with modern OODMS and RDBMS in both spatial and non-spatial capacity Ability to build geoprocessing models and construct multi-tasked services using ArcMap for deployment in ArcGis Server with the goal of assisting non-technical users in moving static map creation to automated processes. Experience with Python, ArcPy, and other scripting tools is strongly desired, and experience with GeoEvent Manager and associated processes is preferred.
