The Naval Intelligence Community spans across many organizations that provide direct support to the Navy, Marine Corps, US Coast Guard and various Joint and Fleet Commands. The selectee for this position serves as a SECURITY SPECIALIST at the GG-11 grade level providing support with interpreting, establishing and promulgating the standardization of security policies, regulations, common services and procedures within all organizations that produce or store intelligence information. This position is located in Arlington, VA. Duties * Provide support for multiple security disciplines (Information, Physical, and Personnel). * Maintain classified material including destruction/transfer records and conduct weekly audits to ensure proper accountability. * Maintain and update the command security information and tracking databases. * Ensure security access requests are properly screened and verified. Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at the GG/GS-09 grade level in the federal government (or in the private or public sector) performing some or all of the following duties: 1) Properly screen and verify all requests for security access, and the necessary forms and documents have been completed. 2) Maintain the command database registry (ie, custody records, files receipts, and destruction reports). 3) Prepare the command for security inspections. OR I have a Ph.D. or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. OR I have less than the full amount of specialized experience described in ?A' above; however, I have completed some college level education as described in ?B' above; therefore, I believe that I can adequately perform the duties of this position based on my combination of experience and education.
