Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze. **Who May Apply: US Citizens** Duties Visual examination and operational tests to determine the need for and the performance of repair work involving trades, such as roofing, asphalt work, plumbing, painting, carpentry and cement work. Spot-checks the conditions of foundations, walks, flooring, roofs, doors, windows, guttering, ventilators and plumbing. Repair and replace doors and door jams, window frames and/or sashes measuring and cutting lumber to size. Repairs roofs by replacing shingles, sheeting or composition roofing. Perform minor repairs on heating and air conditioning ductwork. Repair or replace defective or damaged locks on doors, safes, cabinets, desks. Frequently lifts, carries, and sets up material that weighs 15 pounds and occasionally handles material and equipment that weighs 40 pounds and over. **Working Conditions:** Work assignments are conducted both inside and outside and the employee is subject to cuts and bruises and occasional falls. Unpleasant odors may be encountered from various working environments.
