The Merchant Link payment gateway providestransaction security and support for card payment functions through a singleinterface to point of sale providers, merchants and payment processingbanks. We maintain extensive partnerships with paymentprocessors, banks and the card associations, ensuring integrated andstreamlined support for our clients. Responsibilities: Providing production support to the ML Oracle database Infrastructure. Participate in the DBA on-call schedule. Lead the analysis of database requirements, including configuration, system and scope of Database Design, Review and Modeling. Work with development teams in database design process and suggest database design best practices through all phases of SDLC. Guide developers in writing and tuning SQL and PL/SQL code, scripts, triggers, views etc., resolve all database and application bottlenecks, plan for growth, maintain security, give access permissions and rights. Participate in Oracle Application Database Release in co-ordination with the application development team. Install, Configure and maintain Oracle RAC for mission critical databases. Configure and troubleshoot Oracle streams between the Data Centers. Performance tuning for mission critical applications. Doing regular DB maintenance tasks like table partitions, disk space allocation, Data archival. Works as a liaison between inter-department personnel to define system issues and conduct studies analyzing user requirements, and to define and implement database standards, policies, and procedures. Ensuring the continuous availability of our 24x7 OLTP (on-line transaction processing) production databases Ensures the performance, functionality, and security of the database, which involves the development and installation of a backup/recovery strategy, as well as managing journal files and off-site archival strategies. Provides technical expertise/training to the end-users, developers, and capacity planners, along with assisting in the development of SQL applications and coordination of data migration, conversion planning and programming of new or improved database systems. Recommends system upgrades and enhancements for increased performance and capacity, does capacity planning to meet business growth. Responsible for Oracle installation, configuration, and implementation. Database connection monitoring, and troubleshooting Requirements for the Sr. DatabaseAdministrator: Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or related field. Minimum eight years of Oracle DBA experience (Oracle 11g/12c) both in Development and Production Support. Strong understanding of RDBMS and physical database design Good knowledge of conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling phases. In depth knowledge of Oracle 11g/12c database and architecture Strong experience with Oracle streams replication and/or Golden Gate. Strong experience with Oracle RAC. Willingness to work with developers in regard to normalization of data structures, promotion of objects through the database landscape and optimization of SQL queries. Participate in on-call rotation schedule. Performance Tuning must have come from a strong development background. Experience with Oracle in a Sun Solaris / UNIX environment required. Other relevant experience includes PL/SQL development, RMAN, and experience designing Oracle database architectures in complex systems, for example, RAC, Grid, encryption methodologies, and various enterprise architectures).
