Our software engineers work at the tip of the FiscalNote spear, continuously aggregating large quantities of real-time open data. FiscalNote data scientists and policy experts rely on our software engineers to formulate and implement inventive methods of data collection in order to provide the top-tier analysis expected by our customers.Data acquisition is only the beginning, though. If you want to be empowered to work beyond basic expectations and join an engineering team energized to create what's never been seen, you're the ideal FiscalNote engineer.About YouYou're a hands-on technical leader with the ability to mentor and grow junior to senior level software engineers. You have a player/coach mentality and you lead by example with the demonstrated ability to assist in debugging and technical deep dives into code. Like King George the VI, you're a strong communicator with a penchant for collaboration with senior engineering leadership. You have experience designing, implementing and delivering data ingestion pipelines. You're comfortable preforming code reviews, spanning global teams. You understand that success only happens if there is alignment between teams, and you're confident being the one to drive it. You Will-Mentor junior and senior level software engineers.-Lead the team in a player-coach mentality by assisting in debugging and technical deep dives into our code.-Communicate effectively across senior leadership to foster a collaborative environment.-Build and manage high output engineering teams-Design and implement delivery data ingestion pipelines-Program and Educate with a mastery level on Java and/or PythonYou Have- BA or BS degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience.- Extensive experience building and managing high output engineering teams.- Experience designing, implementing and delivery data ingestion pipelines.- Experience programming in Java or Python.- Ability to communicate to non-engineering team members regarding technical details of products or projects.- Proven ability to manage and plan tasks for a team of software engineers.- Own the end-to-end development, maintenance and performance of data ingestion services including monitoring.About UsFiscalNote is the leading Government Relations Management platform.
