A growing area of research and development is the exploration of effective man-unmanned machine teaming, that is, creating the intuitive interfaces for human operators to direct and use unmanned systems. We are seeking a motivated, inquisitive Human Factors Engineer Intern with an interest to enhance their educational experience by working with a team of talented engineers in the design, development, and evaluation of interfaces for technology demonstrations and prototypes for a variety of highly valued customers. Duties will include: - Support the development of interfaces for new and existing efforts- Participate in the generation of requirements and concept exploration- Design and develop user interfaces using custom and open source tools- Assess the effectiveness of user interfaces- Additional tasks as assigned Qualifications Required (Skills) *Current college second semester junior or beyond pursuing a Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Cognitive Psychology or equivalent, focused on human system interfaces and human, machine teaming*Experience in statistics, data analytics, and visualization*Ability to work independently with minimal supervision*Strong technical verbal and written communication skills*Good organizational skills*Eligibility to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance, for which you must be a US citizen. If you do not meet this requirement you will not be considered.
