POSITION OVERVIEWA rapidly expanding, entrepreneurial technology company,, is seeking an ambitious, talented, Device Engineering Leader with a MS in Electrical Engineering or a similar engineering program. Very few small companies innovate and develop across such a broad range of technologies as The Device Engineering Leader position is ideal for candidates who have management experience, and want to work on connected consumer electronics using technologies such as wide area cell networks (CDMA, 3G-HSPA, 4G-LTE), local wireless networks (ZWave, Zigbee, BLE, LoRa), smart sensors, and low-power IoT devices, to enable scalable and reliable home automation and security applications.RESPONSIBILITIES Work with Product Management to research, develop, and release various productsLead an interdisciplinary team of firmware, electrical, and mechanical engineers to improve the technology platform and processesManagement and Mentorship of a group of engineers"Hands-on" engineering for emerging ADC products - extensive development and research in embedded software or Hardware.Work with senior leadership to establish technology and product strategyDrive initiative and new ideas, while also navigating solutions to current problemsManage and allocate resources to hit timelines across different products REQUIREMENTS7+ years of experience and a MS (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.3+ years of management experience, preferably managing mid to large size teamsExperience leading or working on an interdisciplinary team in consumer product development is a plusSelf-starter, analytical, tenacious problem solverStrong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate with senior managementRigorous attention to detail with focus on robustness, scalability and quality of productsPassion for working with technology and excitement for creating high quality consumer technology productsCOMPANY INFORMATION is the leading platform solution for the connected home and business.
