ABOUT THE JOBThe Global Strategy Planning team is the strategic and insights-driven, research arm of Zeno Group. We are strategic partners and consultants to a wide range of top-tier clients. Our engagements span primary and secondary research, and utilize a full suite of cutting-edge tools and methodologies. Whether it is optimizing a messaging strategy or identifying a target audience, we are committed to engagements that combine creativity strategy in the world of integrated communications marketing. Zeno Group is looking for a Project Manager that will grow business, manage client engagements, and mentor junior staff. We want someone who brings the right mix of skills as a client relationship builder, research consultant, and manager of training and development. The ideal candidate must be able to manage a team of direct reports as well as manage client facing responsibilities and represent Zeno Group in meetings with senior clients and leadership within the agency.The position will report to the EVP responsible for the Research Measurement Analytics team based in the Washington DC office.We are a research consultancy: Data doesn't mean anything on its own - it needs to be collected, organized, managed, analyzed, reported upon, and communicated effectively. You will: * Ask the right questions, identify and understand business objectives, and ultimately scope the right research that will have the most impact;* Provide strategic counsel to clients and account teams throughout all stages of the research process;* Create storylines, identify insights, and effectively communicate research results that will drive strategy and enable clients to accomplish their business objectives. Project Management: It's not all strategizing - we need someone who can execute. Manage complex quantitative and qualitative research from end-to-end, including coordinating execution staff, liaising with analysts, and overseeing creation of effective research reports, utilizing platforms that encompass the following:* Primary Research* Secondary Research* Traditional Media Monitoring Analysis* Social Conversation Monitoring Analysis* Online Communities* Dashboards / Command Centers* Other forms of data analytics* Work closely with a team of research and analysis specialists to design, implement, and manage all phases of market research and strategic communications projects;* Provide project direction, design and analysis;* Develop a deep understanding of specific client business issues and conduct deep analysis of research results to help drive strategy and business planning; Lead operational and financial performance of account teams, set timelines and ensure that they are met, and ensure that client requests and incidental events are responded to quickly and appropriately.Talent Development and Mentoring: It takes a team -- we believe in the development of talent. * Provide leadership and inspiration for team members;* Demonstrate a collaborative environment and empower team to grow and develop in career path; * Help in training team on core Zeno Group Research Measurement Analytics offerings and capabilities.ABOUT YOUYou will succeed at Zeno if you are an entrepreneurial, creative, problem solver who has a bias toward action. Specifically, we are looking for someone who has:* 3-10 years of experience in market research, measurement, corporate affairs, insights creation, strategy development, or consultation* A bachelor's degree* Substantial experience with advanced quantitative and qualitative research methods* Exceptionally strong writing, presentation, and project management skills.* Full working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), SPSS statics base and basic understanding of applied statistics;* Effective synthesis and communication of research insights; * Fluency in the language of marketing, branding, communications, and general business strategy; * Project management skills, including time and financial oversight;* Project scoping and pricing; * Managing and mentoring direct and indirect reports; * Authorization to work in the US Preferred Qualifications* Demonstrated experience in various types of primary and secondary research engagements, including: corporate reputation, highly-curated media monitoring, thought leadership, measurement and optimization, and brand positioning.* Quantitative research experience in: traditional media monitoring & analysis, and social conversation monitoring & analysis* Qualitative research experience in landscape analysis and fact-finding research.
