Position: Audio Visual Systems Programmer Location: McLean, VA Job Id: 316 # of Openings: 1 Audio Visual Systems Programmer Position Description National Capitol Contracting (NCC) is in search of a technical professional to join our Engineering team. The Audio Visual Systems Programmer is a key member of the Audio Visual and Technology Solutions (AVTS) Division, working closely with the fellow Engineering and Operations team members to develop custom code and user interfaces in support of commercial and Federal systems integrations. The AudioVisual Systems Programmer reports directly to the Engineering Manager. ResponsibilitiesDevelop control system code using Crestron and AMX SDK's to enable an integrated audiovisual system to perform as designedDevelop and implement touch screen designs and/or keypad layoutsTest audiovisual systems and control interfacesCommunicate with clients regarding system designs and changes;Communicate with the appropriate team members to convey client requests, status of deliverables, and project/ticket statusContribute to final documentation/drawings for projects and clientsTravel to job sites to upload code and/or troubleshoot systemsTest and debug audiovisual systems independently and within a project environmentSupport the Audiovisual Team with training, technical support, upgrades, installation, design, and event support Required QualificationsMinimum 2 years' experience programming audiovisual control systemsMinimum Crestron Intermediate and/or AMX Control Programmer 2 training completionExperience with control of DSP configuration software and control of major equipment manufacturers (Crestron, AMX, Cisco, Polycom, Planar, Digital Projection)Ability to troubleshoot audio, video, and control systems problemsExperience with TCP/IP networks as related to control systems and IP-based signal transportStrong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong communication skills (written and verbal), both within the team and client facingAbility to pass a Government Background Check Associate's or Bachelor's Degree from accredited university or equivalent work experiencePreferred QualificationsInfoComm CTS certificationExperience with major DSP platforms and principles of Echo Cancellation, Voice Lift, Microphone arraysExperience with Python and/or Javascript programmingExperience working with integrated spreadsheets (Excel or google sheets)Experience working on government projects This is a full-time position.
