This team designs, develops, manufactures, deploys, and maintains precision, high speed, real-time inertial and optical based track inspection and measurement systems for the national and international railway market. ENSCO is looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer with solid educational background, at least three years of recent experience in electrical design, documentation, troubleshooting, and strong communications skills. The successful applicant will work closely with team members to design, document, build, test, troubleshoot, deploy and maintain railroad inspection and measurement systems in the US and around the world.Responsibilities will include:- Perform electrical, electronic, and system design.- Collaborate with the team for successful and on time system integration and delivery.- Produce project documentation according to ENSCO guidelines, to include electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, cable diagrams, assemblies, and Bills of Material.- Specify and evaluate electrical components, sensors, computers, connectors and other electrical hardware and support procurement as needed.- Meet deadlines and budget constraints.- Support ENSCO's existing railroad inspection and measurement systems through changes and improvements.- Assist in design, prototype production and lab/field testing of new systems.- Conduct field tests and support our service group in providing customer support/troubleshooting. Qualifications Required (Skills) - Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.- Minimum 3 years of recent hands-on electrical design experience.- Experience troubleshooting electrical systems, both in lab and field.- Solid understanding of analog and digital electronics.- Experience with data collection systems.- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.- Excellent time management skills.- Excellent interpersonal skills including working in team environments.- Excellent written and oral communications skills.- Ability to climb a ladder 15 feet high to gain access to railway cars.- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time in the US and around the world for periods up to 3 weeks. Wearing safety equipment (hardhat, steel-toe boots, protective vest and protective eye glasses) when working on railroad properties is also a requirement. ENSCO will provide all necessary safety equipment.The selected candidate may be required to submit to fingerprinting, drug screening, and additional background investigations in connection with this position.
