Senior Network Engineer
Job DescriptionNCI: As the Network Engineer, you will serve as a senior technical resource responsible for the design, implementation, and sustainment planning for a state of the art network deployment. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments. NCI is always seeking talent and although this position is contingent upon an open position, we encourage you to apply.Highlights of Responsibilities: Support detailed requirements elicitation and analysis to include documenting the existing network architecture and helping to develop a plan to migrate the physical and logical infrastructure over the course of the program. Perform detailed surveys of existing assets and configurations in addition to identifying and evaluating existing business processes and rules. Develop implementation and testing plans designed to deliver and validate the performance and security posture of the network environment. Requirements: Minimum 10 years experience developing and deploying networks and information systems in the DOD environment. Minimum 5 years with primary role in the design, operation, and installation of networks. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical field. Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility. At least one CCNA, CCNP, BCEFP, or similar certification. At least one CISA, CASP CE, CISSP, GCED, GCIH certification. Preferred Education and Experience: Experience using existing and newly emerging protocols and network design concepts. Experience with network and network functions virtualization technologies and associated design, security, and performance considerations. Experience with multi-tenant network architectures. Experience with a wide range of switching and routing equipment manufacturers.
