What youll be doingPerform hands-on installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of ScienceLogic appliances as they relate to the ScienceLogic suite of products.Act as the internal customer advocate for problem resolution, new product features, and future product directionFlexible and willing to learn new technologies and applicationsRecord all activity in the departments ticketing systemUse and create knowledgebase articles based on field incidents, and/or common or critical issuesAdhere to ScienceLogic Professional Services best practicesParticipate in departmental projectsSelf-motivated and able to work independently on multiple engagements/projectsAbility to maintain a positive and cooperative attitude in sometimes stressful situationsStrong project management skills with the ability to prioritize competing project timelinesProvide leadership and direction for customers in regards to ScienceLogic product suiteCreative person who looks for new and innovative ways to resolve problemsEffective team player willing to assist others when neededExpect over 60% travel for on-site work with customers and partners Qualities you possessA bachelor degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent work experienceProven experience with implementation of enterprise level network management or application performance productsThorough understanding of IT infrastructure, application, and enterprise infrastructure best practicesExcellent written and verbal communication skills5+ years experience supporting/using enterprise class infrastructure monitoring platforms5+ years Linux operating system experience3+ years MySQL Database experience3+ years of experience with SNMP and vendor MIB architecture3+ years of experience configuring SNMP trap and/or Syslog alertsStrong knowledge of PowerShell, WMI, XML/SOAPPHP and/or Python experience desiredLinux scripting experience desired About ScienceLogicScienceLogic is the global leader in hybrid IT monitoring for the network of everything.
