Phoenix House Mid-Atlantic continues to be one of the foremost treatment centers in the region. Our treatment facilities, located in Virginia, have nationally accredited programs that provide outstanding residential, transitional, and outpatient treatment with gender-specific programs available for both adults and adolescents. Our counselors, physicians, and psychiatric staff use a 12-step approach to address a wide range of substance abuse and co-occurring mental health problems, and our treatment regimen includes medication management and medication-assisted treatment as appropriate. Our active assessment center provides comprehensive evaluations of substance abuse, addiction, and related mental health problems in order to identify the most appropriate treatment for each client. Family involvement is encouraged in the treatment process, and treatment length for most programs is determined by individual need. We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to implement doctor's orders, monitor specified medications/refills, monitor and record vital signs as needed, and maintain medical/nursing records. The nurse will observe patients and provide accurate and timely documentation of their treatment progress and respond to patient crisises and emergencies as needed. The individual must be willing to work with clients across the lifespan from adolescents to older adults. REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS: *Virginia registered/licensed nurse required *Bachelor's Degree preferred EXPERIENCE: *Two (2) years of Substance Abuse and/or mental health experience preferred (bilingual preferred, but not required). KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: * Ensure patient confidentiality in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations *Computer skills, ie: Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of EMR systems TO APPLY: Please send your resume to with "Registered Nurse" in the subject line.
