We are seeking competitive relationship driven individuals for our Employee Benefit Sales Trainee Program\. Our Sales Trainees take part in a comprehensive 12 month training program to develop skills and competencies to successfully wholesale Group Insurance benefits to brokers\. Each Sales Trainee will be assigned a mentor to guide them through the program while gaining real world sales experience and exposure to the group insurance industry\. **Essential Job Functions:** + Participates in a comprehensive training program\. Completing self\-study, classroom training and on\-site experience projects according to curriculum\. Effectively contributing to classroom discussions\. Participating in goal\-setting and progress evaluation meetings\. + Obtains direct experience by working with seasoned sales representatives to sell Group Insurance products to brokers and clients\. Participates in sales calls and assists in designing insurance programs and preparing presentations\. + May rotate between Group Insurance sales offices as a required part of training\. + Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external business customers to contribute to the attainment of sales quotas\. Develops a high level of working knowledge about offered products\. + This position requires up to 50% travel, which may include flying and/or driving and some overnight stays\. **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications:** + Must attain licensed agent/producer status within 60 days of entry into the job\. + Strong communication, problem\-solving, negotiation, math aptitude and organizational skills\. + Highly self\-motivated, competitive, and results\-oriented with ability to work independently and as part of a team\. + Ability to travel up to 50% of the work period and a valid driver's license\. + Proficiency in operating a PC and related software and database\. + Willingness to relocate\. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree or currently a senior working towards degree\.
