This is a career opportunity, The candidates must be available to work weekends, 2nd or 3rd shifts and most Holidays. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Fundamental Job Duties) Position Purpose: Act as the lead and technical expert for all 3rd shift maintenance activities and personnel, keeping all assigned equipment at top operating condition. - Gain detailed knowledge of equipment to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all failures of related mechanical, electrical, and computer systems. - Inspect machinery for potential problems daily - Respond to all maintenance requests in a timely manner - Whenever possible, fix machines immediately during production - Prepare work orders for all repairs unable to be done during production - Maintenance Technician Training: provide training and coaching to new and existing techs. Monitor and inspect their work to provide feedback for continual improvement. - Crew Leader/Operator Training: provide training/assistance to production to ensure equipment is run with the highest level of efficiency and quality - Proper machine setup, adjustments, etc. - Assist the maintenance manager in controlling costs, fixed and variable. - Maintain inventory of parts, supplies, and tools that are specific to assigned equipment; order as necessary - Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner. -Perform housekeeping duties required of maintenance staff, including work area clean-up, machine and equipment clean-up, etc. - Ensure that all equipment has the proper safety devices/protection is safe to operate and proper housekeeping practices are implemented. -Supporting safety initiatives and safe working conditions; (eg Hazcom, Hazardous energy standard, machine guarding, etc.) Working hours: 40 hour week, with weekends Skills: REQUIREMENTS Skills -Ability to: --Read and understand schematics, electrical blue prints and illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the troubleshooting and repair of equipment. --Use electric testing equipment including voltmeter, ammeter, oscilloscope, etc. --Lift 75 pounds on a routine basis. --Work extended hours, weekends and holidays. --Work in a team environment, striving to meet and exceed regional production, quality and safety goals. --Demonstrate good time management skills. Plans and organizes daily work flow. Experience --3-to 5 years in production maintenance (electro-mechanical), leading technicians. -Extensive hands on experience and detailed knowledge of: --Industrial mechanical and electrical machines and systems --Computers hardware and software, specifically industrial controls and related I/O's Education -High School diploma --Associates Degree, technical certification, or equivalent prefered.
